Fast Stories... From Kid Coma By Zak Einstein
Yeah, yeah, this is Hiro Yamamoto's new band, ex-Soundgarden, Blah, Blah,
Blah. Bottom line, this band stands on its own even without the obscure Soundgarden
reference. With that out of the way, I can say I've been waiting for this full
length for a long time. Anticipation ran deep and for good reason, the album
is TRULY amazing. A bit more unusual than the first two EP's, but that makes
for a more interesting and complex listening experience. Fast Stories...
From Kid Coma remains just raw enough to maintain that familiar Truly feel.
The first song, Blue Flame Ford, is hit single material ala King Missile's "Detachable
Penis" with balls. Truly could be Seattle's resurrection.
